My viltrox II and my LA-EA1 adapter has the aperture wide open during during focusing, which is how Canon's AF system works too.Founded on the success of the Sigma ART line of lenses, the Sigma Cine 18-35mm T2.0 is a truly inspiring, general purpose, high speed zoom lens. The MC-11 seems to be the only adapter that stops the aperture down before starting AF. All SIGMA E-mount Lenses SIGMA has a rich lineup of Sony E-mount lenses and accessories optimized for mirrorless systems. Using my canon lenses on a Sony eliminates all those inaccuracies.ītw, I believe the limitation for CDAF hunting is a problem on the MC-11. Very frustrating having to deal with canon lenses that consistently front/back focuses. I've got a 77D that doesn't have in camera micro adjustments. The MC-11 can update only its own USB connection but it can not be used to force the update to the lens which is shameĪt least on the 80D you can do perform adjustments both in camera and on lens. The only problem it has but also sony native lenses is when you pas F12 then it starts to go back and forth as i believe it switches from PDAF to Contrast Detectionįor calibration yes, for updates no, but having the sigma for nearly a year and came with latest update there weren't any firmware update since. This is true for the 50-100mm there have no been any update yet. Those Sigmas were quite tricky o my canon 80D even after sigma doc adjustments and tedious process of calibration, even in live view, but when on Sony, focus was bang on every time. So it means that this USB dock is just useless for mirrorless cameras. I know that these companies have microadjustments software in the camera for this particular problem, but not on every camera (they seem to only have this feature on the more expensive cameras). IMO, this is one of the biggest advantages of mirrorless cameras since front/back focusing issues can ruin the DSLR experience, when all your photos at a wide aperture starts becoming blurry. In Canon/Nikon cameras, if you switch to live view mode, all the back/front focusing issues go away because now your focusing with the main imaging sensor. if there is, is it possible to correct it with usb dock within ur experience?Ĭanon and Nikon exhibits front/back focusing issues because the sensor they are using for AF is not the main imaging sensor, compared with mirrorless. Does it miss a lot while focusing? I saw some back focusing issues online especially with canon cameras(not sony though).
